How We Do Things To Benefit You

Making customers feel at ease from the onset is crucial for us and our therapies to be effective, therefore, we go out of our way to make our clinic give off a much more relaxed vibe to other clinics people may have attended. We encourage our customers contacting us, prior to their visit, if they have any concerns that our automated emails and website doesn't answer for them.

So what to expect from your Werx Clinic visit?
Below is the general expectations of what a new customer would experience when they attend their appointment at The Werx Clinic:

1. Firstly, lots of communication. It all starts with you booking your first appointment. As soon as you book your time slot, you get an email and text message confirming your appointment, along with some paperwork for you to sign prior to your visit. 24 hours prior to your appointment you will get a reminder about your time slot as well as some valuable information regarding our protective measures at the clinic. Please note, like the NHS, we are still observing COVID-19 measures and so, please read the email and comply with the information given regarding whether you have any symptoms that could be considered infectious.

2. Upon arrival at the clinic, feel free to park at the premises or anywhere on the street, obviously observing the residential driveways. We request that you remain in your vehicle until precisely your appointment time, due to our healthcare control procedures. At your appointment time, press the video doorbell at the front or the side of the property and await your clinician to respond.

3. Once the initial consultation begins, your medical history will be taken and some testing of your range of movement will be undertaken. It is best to dress in loose fitting clothing (or bring them with you to change), shorts and t-shirt are usually best. We suggest that women not to wear sports bras (just wear ordinary bras, perferably with a back opening), as the straps tend to be very restrictive and doesnt allow access to the back or shoulder area.

4. Please bring a list of medication with you, any x-rays or radiographer reports you may have (dont worry if you havent got these as we will conduct tests anyway). It may also be worthwhile coming in an older pair of shoes so that we can see what the wear pattern is like on the sole and therefore establish your gait analysis from your walking pattern.

5. We use a whole variety of different treatments during your appointment time, but at all time, we constantly explain everything to you with the benefits and reasoning behind the choice of treatment modality. After your treatment we offer a follow up appointment and explain what you can do at home to help increase your range of motion, increase blood flow and exercise prescriptions of what you need to do to benefit your rehabilitation prior to your next session.
